Rivers of Council (ROC) is an organization founded by O’Kawai Kin dedicated to improving communication and connectivity for schools, sports teams, organizations, businesses, and families, any group who is seeking deeper relationships.
Through the transformative practice of council and other initiatives, ROC helps cultivate a culture of trust, belonging, and authentic sharing. We believe deeply in the practice of authentic communication as a path to greater social understanding and a more peaceful world.
Our Services
Rivers of Council facilitates profound communication practices and transformative group experiences.
Team Building
Initiatives and games beneficial for building trust, increasing group cohesion, and encouraging creativity. These experiences are designed to be challenging, thought-provoking, engaging, and fun.
Nature Connection
Being out in nature gives us an opportunity to slow down, breathe fresh air, and experience peace. Nature connection helps reduce stress, improve mental health, lower depression and anxiety, and enhance cognitive abilities.
Ceremony and Rites of Passage
Powerful ways to initiate or mark a completion, bringing people together for specific occasions. These events can include all ages of life: birth, death, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, elderhood, birthdays, graduations, retirement, celebrations of life, and transitions of all kinds.
Council
A communication practice that nurtures compassionate and open communication within groups. This structured yet flexible practice creates a space for dialogue, trust, and belonging among participants, marked by a commitment to active listening and authentic sharing.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
